Fall Decor

FALL is here and I am SO excited! I love fall. I love the weather, football, and most of all fall decor! I'm not talking all pumpkins & leaves. I'm talking COLORS and prints! Summer I enjoyed my blues and grays but I decided after watching continuous shows on HGTV that I wanted pops of MUSTARD YELLOW in my home.
Redecorating is hard and can be costly believe me but if you can incorporate some new things with what you already have its not that bad! I also searched for the best deals! Took a solid month to get everything I wanted. Originally my place had blues & grays. I somehow incorporated mustard yellow in there. I know it's hard to envision that but it actually worked! Here are some of the decorations I bought!

🍂

I created this centerpiece myself. A lot of this came from Michaels. I am really happy how it came together!

Ordering prints has been one of my favorite things for a while! I think it's a great way to add some decor to your house. I order mine through Home, James. You just order the print you want, comes on nice card stock paper and I just go out and get a nice frame to put them in!

🍂

Bought these candle holders from Target.. only $5.00 in the bins up front!

Pillow Covers! Cheaper than buying throw pillows for sure!
Both ordered off Amazon!

🍂

Small glass pumpkins.. came from Dollar Tree!
Vase was found in TJ Maxx clearance section!
🍂

I found this weathered shutter from Michael's. No lie I paid 5.00 for it! It was 80% off.
I found the letters for 1.00 each- super glued them on and done! Inexpensive yet so cute!

🍂

Wood Flowers
made by yours truly! A class I did at Hammer & Stain!

Coasters are from Dollar Tree! So cute they are tile!

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall

Summer went fast but I enjoyed it a lot. It was definitely busy. My grandmother got sick in the beginning of the summer with that came a lot of time going to see her and making sure she's okay. She's a VERY important person in my life and I am happy to say shes doing a lot better thank god!

My goal was to relax and have fun this summer and I felt like I did just that! Went on a couple of overnight trips, ,went to a concert, went to some cookouts, enjoyed my new home, laid out by the pool (which always feels like vacation) and just spent time with family and friends!

This Fall I do have a couple of things I am going on... heading to the cape for a couple nights, going to Florida for a week, going to a Patriots Game, Derricks birthday, birthday parties, and celebrating my Anniversary with Derrick!

I plan on doing a few fall activities without breaking the bank! Here are some of my ideas..

Bike Riding- there are some great trails around here and it would be cool to catch the foliage!

Have A Picnic-  I love this idea and always wanted to do it! I just need to research a good spot where I can do this.. maybe Langwater, or a local park! Would be fun to do with your sig other, girls day, or a group of friends!!
Pack some sandwiches, cheese, snacks maybe a some wine!

Apple Picking- This has always been fun to me and I discovered a winery that has apple picking so I can do both in one day which is a plus!

Host A Game Day- love to do this! We love having friends over to watch the Pats game! It's so much better than going to a bar! I usually make some food and usually some people bring a dish so that helps out big time!

Host A Game Night- I've always wanted to do this because it seems like so much fun! I need to Find a fun game to play! Any ideas?? I just need to figure it out! Have everyone bring what they are drinking and definitely a snack of some sort. Makes the night that much more fun! Kinda into murder mysteries!

Local Events in Town- My town usually has a couple fall events, like a harvest and craft fair, our local brewery has a few events, Langwater farm. One way to find out is Facebook, I find manyyy of events on there!

Wine Tasting- I love to entertain and always wanted to throw a wine tasting. Get a group of friends, assign them a wine and snack to bring and have yourself a little tasting!

What are some of your Fall plans???

Farm Life

Have you been to Langwater Farm yet? It's located in Easton and it's a beautiful farm with a few cool things to do! Lately, I have been getting my veggies there, fresh veggies are just so much better, and I found it easier to pick them up as needed instead of once a week and risking them go bad!
If you haven't tried one of their tomatoes 🍅 your missing out!

Fall is approaching and I discovered when I went there recently they started making their homemade FRESH APPLE CIDER DONUTS! 🍩 Another thing you must try!
They are the best when they are HOT!

I also discovered they make their own salsa which is FANTASTIC! 🍅

You can also go there to pick your own pumpkins! 🎃 I saw them out already!

I had been wanting to do this for a long time - Pick your own Flowers... it was a lot of fun and my flowers are beautiful. Basically, you pay $11 and change and you can go out into the fields and pick your bouquet! For an extra 2 bucks you can get a mason jar to put them in! The flowers are GORGEOUS! and if you are a sunflower fan you will DIEEEE!

Here are some beautiful pictures of the farm flowers!

Not only does Langwater having homemade apple cider donuts, fresh veggies, and gorgeous flowers, they make pizza sometimes! 🍕
They have a real brick oven onsite and host their own pizza nights with Shoveltown Brewery- I can't wait to check it out! This farm is a great place to bring the kids, your boyfriend, husband, mom- whoever! You won't be disappointed!

Houseware Dupes!

When I moved into my new apartment we desperately needed new flatware!  I did not realize how much money that was going to run me on top of buying everything else we needed. Two of my favorite home stores is Crate & Barrel and Target... who doesn't like Target? I came across a flatware set from Crate & Barrel that I love but it was pricey, so I kept shopping around... then came across a very similar set at Target which was much more affordable ! I was so excited. Both have the same Hammered design look I loved. TARGET FOR THE WIN!

Crate & Barrel
Mesa 20 Piece Flatware Place Setting $ $89.95

Target
Arkita 20pc Stainless Steel Silverware Set $29.99

Floral Jar

You've prob seen on my Facebook & IG that I did a new DIY floral jar. I got the idea from Anthropologie. They sell them from $44-88 dollars.. like what? I thought to myself I CAN DO THAT! So I created my own..  Check it out!

Here is the Anthropologie Floral Jar

Here are mine...
I still haven't figured out a cost yet. As I've made 7 so far and I still have some supplies left, I did spend less than 42.00 on everything! This is a WAY cheaper option and you can create your own colors!

White Dinner Plates

I personally like white dinnerware. Its classic, easy to match with other colors like bowls or serving wear, and I also feel like it can't go out of style. Of course I wanted Crate & Barrel plates but they were going to run me some money... so here's what I came up with..

One simple white plate from Crate and Barrel is $4.95

I FOUND MY PLATES AT DOLLAR TREE, YES I KID YOU NOT! Honestly, they are well made white, simple and 1 DOLLAR. If they break you don't feel bad! I have actually been using dollar tree plates for years... They are great, and i'm not cheap I just like a good deal!

Do you have any houseware dupes??
I want to know what they are!!
