Fall Decor 2020

Fall is here and I LOVE decorating for it! Last year I was really into mustard yellow so I did do that again this year just got a couple new pieces! Check it out! I loved how everything tied together!

Tufted Decorative Throw Pillow Cover

I picked this up from Amazon. If you know me you know I love pillow covers! I have so many for all seasons. This one has to be one of my favorites, it's really well made and the colors are so great!

Here is the fall decor I have spread around my home.

I get a bulk of my decor from Target and Dollar Tree.
Fall Fresh, Hello Autumn, Pumpkin Spice, and Friends gathered here are all from Dollar Tree.

I also picked up a few entertaining items knowing I will be having some small get togethers this Fall..

still buying....

Billie Razor

This is a subscription I recently signed up for and I am loving it! 4 refill razor blades are sent to me every couple of months! The starter kit comes with everything in the picture above, the razor handle, 2 blades, a sample cream, and a magnetic holder for the shower! You can get your razors sent to you based on how much you shave. If you go to the website you can fill everything out and they will match it up for you! It's great because I never have to think about swapping my razor out anymore they come right in the mail come that time!

Boho Pillow Covers

I found these on Amazon I thought they were so cute they have lots of different colors in them. We got a new gray couch and they look great with it. Adds some nice color to the room!

V Neck Tie Knot Top

I found this on Amazon as well. I wore it out the other night with jeans but it also looks good with shorts! You could PROB get away with leggings but I do prefer my back and front covered when I wear leggings! It comes in many different prints and colors! I plan on picking another pattern up soon!

Cicapair Tiger Grass

I got this cream recently after being told I have rosacea. My skin can get red at times and this helps correct that! Its a "green-to-beige color-correcting treatment that corrects redness" You can wear this when you don't feel like putting on foundation. It's pretty light weight and it has spf in it as well! I have been really liking this lately!

Battery Base for Dot

I picked this up after seeing it on Amazon. We listen to music from this and I wanted to be able to bring it outside to sit on the deck without the plugs! It's pretty cool! Once its fully charged you can carry it anywhere!

Diamond Dazzle Stik

I have had this stick since I got engaged, a friend gave it to me as a gift (thanks Ashley!) it works really well if you want to clean your ring quick! Leaves it looking very sparkly! It's safe on your diamond and the metal. Another way I clean my ring is dawn and hot water ! Both work great! If you know someone getting engaged or want it for yourself it makes a great gift!

I wanna hear about the some things you've picked up recently!!

Waffle Knit Tank
I purchased this off Amazon too! I love the fit you can wear it with a pair or shorts or even leggings! This shirt comes in a ton of different colors! I recommend this top for sure! you can even wear it in the fall under a cardigan!

Booty by Brabants Croco Skin Leggings
I have a few pairs of her leggings but I always bought the original style. I have had my eyes on this color for a while but it was the croco style so I decided to give them a try! They are thicker than the originals but I do really like them!  I have been putting them on for my workouts and just lounging at night with a sweatshirt! The Rose color is super pretty! I plan on picking up the gray ones next!

Lazy Jane Air Dry Shampoo
I picked this up after I saw a blogger post about this. I used it a few times now and I do like it alot! I haven't been blow drying my hair at all lately so this helps eliminate frizz and flatness without the heat! You use it just like regular shampoo and conditioner and it smells really nice!

cookin!

Asian Garlic Noodles

I went pretty plain with the salmon that night, just did a simple olive oil, salt and pepper. BUT THESE NOODLES ARE TO DIE FOR! & have a TON of flavor! Make it when your in the mood to have a cheat night for sure!! I have made these a couple times now!

7 oz spaghetti (I use DeCecco) I really like the texture
4 Cloves Garlic (FRESH, MINED)
3 Tablespoons of butter
2-3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
2 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 1/2 Tbsp oyster sauce
Chopped Scallion
1-2 teaspoons of sugar

Cook pasta in lightly salted water, set aside a little past water in a bowl for later on! Drain pasta and rinse under cold water to avoid further cooking and sticking.
While pasta is cooking chop up and heat garlic up in a large pan with olive oil and butter until garlic softens (do not BURN GARLIC)
Mix up the sauce in a separate bowl (soy, oyster, sugar)
Add noodles to the pan once the garlic is done sauteing while keeping the heat on. Toss the noodles in with the garlic then the sauce mixture with some scallions. Add in a little of the saved pasta water to help everything mix up smooth
Top with grated parm cheese and more scallions if you would like!

Quick Scallion Pancakes

I found this recipe on a bloggers website I follow and just had to make them! They take a couple to really get it down but they were OH SO GOOD! I would make one to taste first to see if you want to add more salt!

1 Cup of flour
1 plus 1/3 cup of water
4 scallions chopped small
1/8 tsp salt
Vegetable Oil for pan frying and brushing the top

Mix the flour, water and the salt in a bowl and whisk until smooth, Add in the scallions it should be like a heavy cream but not too thick add water if you need to thin it out.
Heat 1tbs of vegetable oil in the pan or just enough to cover the bottom of the pan over medium heat!
Use a large ladle to pour some badder into the center of the pan and swirl  around the pan and spread it out as thinly as possible
Cook 4-5 min over medium or until the bottom is lightly browned and crisp (life the corner to check it)
flip over and cook the other side, also brush the top of it with oil for extra brownness
cut up an enjoy!

Stuffed Sweet Potatoes
with ground turkey, kale and chickpeas

These have taken a couple of times to nail down my favorite way to cook them! They make a lot so you can reheat for lunch the next day! They are filling and pretty easy to make!

1 lb ground turkey
1 can of chickpeas (you won't use it all)
Kale
Marinara sauce (small can will be fine) unless you can use the rest for something else
4 sweet potatoes (the ones I got were small)
Shredded cheese

Roast sweet potatoes until done
set them aside to cool off
Cook ground turkey, once done add kale chickpeas (I used half the can) and some marinara sauce( I use enough to get everything bined together)
set aside and start mushing up the sweet potatoes inside scoop the turkey mixture in each I tent to overstuff them!
top with some cheese and bake them until the cheese is melted and the inside is hot!

Chopped Salads

You can really chop anything to put in a salad! they are so easy to eat too because you can just scoop it into your mouth!
For my salad I did chopped romaine, cucumbers, chickpeas, leftover cooked brussel sprouts, shredded cheese, sprinkle of parm cheese topped it with some beets I had in the fridge, and wonton strips!
For dressing I did: 1/4 cup olive oil, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard, 1 clove of crushed garlic, half juice from lemon- pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk all together and pour over your chopped salad!

Quarantine Purchases!

I have been living in leggings, yoga pants, and crew neck sweatshirts! I haven't really had a desire to buy any real clothing but I have picked up a few things I wanted to share with you!

SKIMS STRETCH RIB SCOOP BRALETTE
Kim Kardashian started her own shapewear company. What interested me was her bra's, bralettes, and loungewear. So I started with getting her bralette! These days who wants to put on an actual bra? NOT ME, I honestly never want to do that! I must say its very very comfortable the stretch is perfect and it gives you a good amount of support with it still being lightweight! I forget I even have it on! I have been really loving this and will probably get another one!

THE ORDINARY FACE SERUM
The first couple weeks I was home my skin was acting up bad! I was telling a friend about it and she told me that she has been using this for months and it really helped her skin out so I thought I would I would give it a shot! I have really liked this so far. It's a high-strength vitamin and mineral blemish formula. I haven't seen too many major breakouts since starting this and its making my skin look really nice. This line is very inexpensive and they do a really great job explaining what each product does for your skin!

Planting
I don't have a green thumb at alllll, but last year I had some flowers my mom planted me in pots on my deck and I did OK, I decided to do some of my own and I loved how they came out... so I hope I can keep these alive.. any advice is welcome!!

Booty by Brabants Mermaid Leggings
I have had my eye on these leggings since they came out and Derrick was nice enough to buy them for me! They are very flattering! I do love the design on these!
I am a huge fan of her OG leggings because they have a lot of stretch! These are stretchy too but I feel they are a little tighter because the fabric is a lot thicker!

Color Street Nail Polish Strips
When salons closed I knew I was in deep shit! I typically do dip! Every 3 weeks on the DOT! I am a nail picker so my nails are junk! I needed something to fill the void but I don't like to paint my nails.. So a good friend of mine purchased this and said it was working for her and it was lasting a couple of weeks on her nails! I gave it a shot! I like how you don't have to paint, its not messy and you don't  have to wait for your nails to dry! BUT I did add a quick dry top coat! The first couple of these were tough but then I got the hang of it! I am very pleased with the outcome and purchased more! They have a ton of different colors to choose from and patterns! Even GLITTER! I am on day 8 and they are still looking great!

DAY 8

Glass Tabletop Tiki Torch
I got this to put on my deck outside I used it recently and loved it! Found it at Target! It kept the bugs away and just looked really nice! I purchased more and I got the fluid that keeps the bugs away! Should help when we sit outside to eat dinner or just hang out at night! I also found some really cute ones on Amazon!

NuSkin Insta Glow

NuSkin Insta Glow 🌞

One of my friends on Facebook, Renee Perkins sells Nuskin products and I saw her post about this self tanner and just had to try it! I am a sucker for a nice tan! I have tried alot of self tanners in my day and I have to say I do really like this one! It doesn't give you an overwhelming amount of color it gives you a nice natural tan. I tested it on my legs first and liked what I saw so I did my whole body and it looks great! It didn't streak at all and my hands didn't turn brown after application, it washed off just fine without leaving leftover tanner on my hands. It does smell like self tanner but the odor is very low. You get instant color but over time it does get darker, then after your shower it evens out. This CAN be used on your face but mine has been whacky lately so I decided not to try that at this time, but I plan to.. I think I may mix it in with my moisturizer! What a good time to test it out too while being in quarantine!

Left is before application. Right is right after application

Here is the before application. Then after a shower

I was glad I bought this product when I did. Your probably thinking what's the point of doing that right now when your stuck inside! well...I wanted to test this out before we went back into the real world for one, and two who doesn't get instantly happy with a nice tan?? Right now it was just what I needed and made me more excited for summer! Renee does an excellent job posting on the products she sells including this one I tagged her in this post so you will be able to navigate your way to her to BUY THIS!

Drinking, Eating, and Redecorating!

I've just been thinking of things to do and cook during this time! Hope you are all doing well and enjoy reading what I've been up to! Drinking, eating, and redecorating!

Kettle One with Sprite 0

My friend Ashley told me about this vodka and I am so glad she did. Its extremely refreshing!  We went through one of these very quickly. We mixed with sprite 0. You should do a splash of tropical OJ too if your feeling up for that!

Ghetto Sangria

We have been drinking this alot! It's good and we feel like we are on vacation! Which I could use right about now!!
🍷 Fill glass with ice
🍷 Red Blend Wine (leave a little room at the top)
🍷 Splash of 0 sugar lemonade I use Minute Maid Pink
🍷 Splash of seltzer water (I used raspberry lemon) but you can use plain
🍷 Squeeze a lemon slice and drop it in the glass

Chicken Noodle Casserole

Made a bunch and it was good! You make a nice white sauce so there is no need for canned soup! You can add any veggies you want. I did peas & mushrooms

6 oz egg noodles (half the bag)
1 tbsp butter
1 medium onion
1 tbsp flour
1 3/4 cups of fat free chicken broth
1 cup of milk
1 cup frozen peas
10oz sliced mushrooms
1 cup of white cheddar cheese
shredded chicken (I used rotisseries)
2 tbsp bread crumbs
2 tbsp parm cheese

preheat oven to 375 spray 9x12 casserole dish

Cook noodles. Set aside. Melt butter in a deep skillet and add onions and cook until soft. Add flour and a pinch of salt stir. Slowly wisk in broth until combined, increase heat and whisk add milk and bring to boil. Add peas salt pepper to taste and simmer until the sauce thickens. Add chicken stir. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of cheddar cheese and mix until it melts. Add noodles mix it up and pour into casserole dish. Sprinkle the bread crumbs and parm cheese all over the top Bake for 25 min.

My Go-To Lunch

I've literally been eating this everyday. Looks like shit but it tastes so good. I make some tuna with mayo, (you can do chicken salad or plain chicken cut up) cut up bread and butter pickles S&P mix it all up. Lay down some salad in a bowl, and I top it with Mitchell's salsa it's the best hands down! Great with tortilla chips and on salad! Then I drizzle some Ken's Italian dressing over the top! I think that day I added some leftover quinoa

Target Finds

I was bored and decided I needed to redecorate my living room! I needed some not so fake looks greens to complete what I was envisioning I found them at Target!

Find them here.

Personalized Tea Light Candle Holder

I got this as an engagement gift from my friend Sam, its so cute and a such a great idea if you know someone that got engaged or married!

Find it here

White Pillow Covers
I have these pillow covers in 3 different colors now. They have them in 11 colors! I love them. I think they add a little something to the couch! I bought them in white to go with the new decor!

What are you doing to keep yourself busy these days?
